Tommie grew up in the New York City metropolitan area. Born Again at the age of three and filled with the Holy Spirit at age seven, Tommie was raised in church. His father Thomas, a great soul winner, had a major impact in his young life. Tommie quickly became one of the best soccer players in the nation. After several years at West Virginia University, about to fulfill a lifelong dream of playing professional soccer, Tommie accepted God's call to the ministry in 1994. It was then that he went to Kenneth Hagin's Rhema Bible Training Center and met his beautiful wife Kimberly. The next year an acquaintance of his died without an opportunity to know Jesus as Savior. He instantly got a revelation from heaven that, "today, not tomorrow, is the day of salvation". It was this encounter with God that would affect his life and ministry forever. After graduating Rhema, Tommie and Kim then traveled the globe serving as personal assistants to Dr. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne of Revival Ministries International. It was during this time of seeing worldwide crusades that God burned a fire of evangelism on their hearts. Their time of service at R.M.I. was a great learning experience in flowing with the Holy Spirit. At the age of 24 Tommie faced his biggest challenge, serving as Director of the greatest soul-winning event in the history of New York City - Good News New York, a six-week crusade in Madison Square Garden. He ministered all over the northeastern section of the United States sharing the vision of the event and burning a passion for souls in the hearers. Thousands flooded the altar, crying out for the lost, and were moved to "go" and spread the good news everywhere. Tommie Zito is a young revivalist who travels the nation of America believing God for another “Great Awakening.” In 1999, he and his wife, Kimberly, founded Tommie Zito Ministries, which holds extended meetings in churches across the nation. He is president of zoë, a school dedicated to raising up an army of Christian revolutionaries, as well as founder of the American Awakening, a city-wide effort to invade America with the gospel. In 2005, Tommie and Kimberly founded Light, a church of the reformation, in Miami's South Beach.
